Dolphins are marine mammals that live in shallow water, or the reef. They often cause the Octonauts trouble, due to their curious behavior and playful actions, always making up new games to play.

All three dolphins are gray in color. They all have a darker gray stripe going down their backs, and have a pale gray underbelly.

- Dolphins are very intelligent and curious. They like to make up games and discover new things.
- In the UK version, two of the dolphins are female. In the US version, they are all male.
- The Dolphins may be a species of Bottlenose Dolphin. One of the most common species of Dolphin.
