It is seen almost everywhere inside all the Gups and the Octopod itself. It is in a small size (on octo-screens), on the Gups control panels, and a large size in the HQ. Captain Barnacles also has it on his Octo-Compass. You can always find it in the theme song of every episode.
It is usually orange when lit, but it is not lit when it is blue. Some of the episodes show this mistake, oddly.
In The Electric Torpedo Rays, the Octopod's battery ran out of power, and the Octo-Alert could not be sounded. Instead, the Vegimals had to imitate the sound of the Octo-Alert.
In The Emperor Penguins, Captain Barnacles sounded the Octo-Alert on his Octo-Compass, but it froze due to the heavy snow storm, causing an incomplete Octo-Alert sequence.

In the books by Meomi, the Octo-Alert scenes show eight Octonauts crew members and what they are doing.
During the Octonauts episodes, the Octo-Alert sequence shows four screens with the crew members.
In Octonauts: Above and Beyond, the Octo-Alert changes a lot here, with a world map and one screen with the crew or Octo-Agent in it.
However, in Octonauts: Above and Beyond China version, the world map is not shown. Instead, a fake ice map is shown, and the region is always the same. The Antarctica region.
