General Rules
- Don't use rude language, it includes whether it's abbreviated or not.
- Be pleasent to other users even if you don't like what they have to say.
- NEVER say Octonauts or other shows are for babies.
- Don't make fun of octonauts (ex. It's stupid, I hate it)
- Don't hurt other users feelings.
- Don't make fun of the Wiki, if you don't like it, don't read it.
- Don't mention other series (Ex. Thomas, Chuggington, Underground Ernie, Jessie, doodlebopps, Doctor Who) unless it it is on the Fanfic page.
- We advise users not to speak in a sarcastic way as other users may not understand the sarcasm and get offended.
- Don't Backseat Moderate, if someone breaks the rules report it to an admin.
- It does not matter if you write British, or American (Ex. Favorite/Favourite, Color/Colour, While/Whilst)
- While it is ok to write British, we ask that the wiki remains as American as possible, as the owner of this wikia is american...
- THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SWEARING ALLOWED, NOT IN THE FORUM, BLOG POSTS, PAGES, MESSAGES, CHAT, OR COMMENTS!!!
Fanfic Rules
- There is a special page for Fanfic things (FAKE) Fanfic Stories Fanfiction things are ONLY allowed on that page!
- Please do more than Fanfic on this Wiki, this Wiki is about the TV show, not Fanfiction things.
- Do not 'bad mouth' fanfics, people work hard!
- NEVER delete any fanfics.
Page and Talk Page Rules
- If you have more edits than another user don't brag about it -everyone works hard.
- NO spam on pages.
- Don't rewrite other user's talk page messages or blog posts.
- Dont create or add characters that haven't been confirmed, unless it's on our fanfic page.
- No content except vandalism, broken links, and profanity may be removed from any user talk page. Off topic posts may be removed from article talk pages.
- While not mandatory, we are asking users to not change their signatures to only words. Signatures are required on talk pages to identify messages. And, if a user's signature doesn't link to their user page or user talk page, it makes it difficult to tell who left which post.
- While not really a "rule" we ask that all members please remember to sign all comments with four of (~ These).
- Don't edit other User's user-pages.
Picture adding rules
- Don't add 2 of the same images.
- You are okay to upload home images of Octonauts, just don't upload ANY swearing/bad photos.
- An image should not be named SUNDDUDHEUURHYEHDNAHSHFHWISDUDJQ/$:)/&/&$//]*|{*|{|€{*|€{*|> It should be called Images:(whatever the picture is of)
- No Bad/Swearing/Sex/Evil pictures.
- ONLY photos of Octonauts.
Video Rules
- When uploading a video it can be UK or US! Don't fight over which is better!
- Please avoid uploading watermarked videos. If it is a video that you think is really important, ask an admin.
Chat Rules
- Everything in general rules
- If something bad happens while chat mod isn't on- talk to an admin, founder, or adopter.
- Don't step in and out of the chat, it could annoy people.
